I once climbed a lion

Posted by
Chetan (Gurgaon, India) on 23 January 2019 in Architecture and Portfolio.

The famous statues of four lions in Trafalgar Square, surrounding Nelson's Column, are commonly known as the 'Landseer Lions' after the artist who created them.
I was surprised to find that we are allowed to climb on the back of the bronze lions. I climbed one too, but unfortunately have no proof of the deed :)
Pictured is one of the lions, and in the background you can see the One Strand building.
